A home made model built in the 1950's with solid cedar hull in need of cleaning and repair of fittings, masts and hull

The restoration of the horn sailing ship now complete with new mast sections fitted and set into the hull.

STAGE TWO 

REPLACING DAMAGED SECTIONS OF MAST BASES.

All the masts were broken off at the bases which need's replacing with new pieces cut and fitted with pins for strength.

1930s's POND YACHT

A POND YACHT BUILT BY AN ARCHITECT DURING THE DEPRESSION OF THE 1930'S

Repairs that needed are a broken mast and rigging, spilt rudder and missing pin and water damage to the deck

The deck sanded back and ready for a new coat of polyurethane varnish

The spilt in the rudder repaired and a new pin before being set again into the keel

The yacht with all repairs complete and showing the beautiful craftsmanship of the original builder

A  MODEL OF THE CONFEDERATE RAIDER CSS ALABAMA IN 1/96 SCALE 

This model kit was released by Revell in the 1960's. The model required striping down to its basic parts and being restored to museum standard
